Our Company History

Inspection FIRST Inc. is a leader in home inspection services, combining more than 40 years of construction expertise with professional training, classroom learning and on-the-job experience. Unlike many home inspectors who earn certification online or after taking a short college course, Freeman lives and breathes construction and has a lifetime of knowledge in sides of this complicated business. Clients of Inspection FIRST can rest at ease knowing that every project they complete will be done with pride, and professionalism.

Willy Freeman

Freeman is a tried and true leader in his industry, having performed thousands of residential inspections in the Kitchener/Waterloo region and beyond since taking over the company in 1996. At that time, he trained alongside the highly respected industry leader Bruce McClure, long-time president of the OHI and current program head at Conestoga College. Prior to that, he has been 'unofficially' sharing his expertise by doing inspections for family and friends for decades, giving Inspection FIRST an edge that his competitors simply can't touch.

Freeman, company President and a lifelong construction professional, is a highly respected member of the construction and building community bringing 40 years of experience to the table. A second generation carpenter Willy learned the trade along side his father and continues to work with his own son today. Combined with his 17 years in the home inspection business, Freeman is president of full service residential and commercial construction business Procraft Construction.

Starting out at McClure Home Inspections, Freeman took over the reins in 2005, renamed the company to Inspection FIRST and hasn't looked back. Inspection FIRST Inc. is a company that has enjoyed a long history in home inspections by delivering the highest level of service and reliability of its reporting to all their clients living in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Mississauga and surrounding areas.

Willy is also registered as a Home Inspector with the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors. He is a former long time member of OAHI and the other one. He has been involved with Habitat for Humanity and also is supporter of Q107 children's charity.
